The iMac DV and iMac SE machines have processor speeds at 350Mhz or above. These machines are sometimes referred to as the Slot Loading iMacs. This is because the CDROM or DVDROM drives are in the form of a slot in the front of the machine, rather than a drawer. The iMac DV is notable because of the inclusion of a DVD drive, and Firewire ports.

Contrary to Apple specification data, the iMac SE and DV are able to use up to 1024MB (1GB). This maximum is acheived with the installation of two 512mb DIMMs.
